Why are your prints so expensive?

My linoprints go through a long process of creation, from illustrating the design, transferring it to the lino plate, carving it and then printing it by hand. Lino printing is an ancient handmade letterpress process that cannot be produced like digital reproductions. Each lino print is printed by hand with a folding leg and wooden spoon, which takes a lot of time and energy. Each design will therefore be a limited edition, which adds to its value. Linoleum prints are handmade art prints and are considered unique original works of art. In addition, the materials such as paper and paint are of high quality and carefully selected to match the motif.

Returns & Cancellations

If I have changed my mind, can I return the print?

Of course you can return your print if you are not satisfied with the lino print. The important thing is that the print is undamaged and unused. Contact me for more information about the return, you will get your money back minus dear shipping costs, return shipping costs and possible customs fees. You can also find more information about this here.

Are there any hidden costs?

You pay the price you see in the shop on the website. In addition, there are shipping costs, you can find more information here.

If the order is shipped outside the European Union, there may be customs duties that have to be paid by the buyer.

Printmaking

What is a Linoprint?

Lino printing is created with the help of the linocut. This is an old printing technique that belongs to the relief printing process.

The motif is carved into a linoleum block and then used like a kind of stamp. In doing so, a limited number of prints of the same motif can be produced.

The entire process is worked out and implemented purely analogue by hand, each lino print has its own unique characteristics and make lino printing an original one-of-a-kind work of art.

Tattoo Permits

I would like to have your work done as a tattoo. May I do that?

In principle you may and I am very happy about it.

As each motif is a design from my hand, you can purchase a tattoo passport from me, which gives you permission to have the design engraved by your tattoo artist. If required, I can send you detailed pictures.

You can find more here.

My Artworks & Inspirations

What is your inspiration?

My affection for animals and for our nature. The environment and its problems are often the subject of my work. It is my concern to draw attention to problems in my linoprints and to build up more tolerance and a better awareness of our nature and its inhabitants. My works are often very detailed and realistic.

I would like to see the process of how you make your prints. Is this possible?

I try to show parts of the making process on my Instagram, however there are small events around Berlin and Brandenburg where I carve directly on site and you can watch me do it live.

Do you also offer workshops?

I don't offer any workshops on lino printing at the moment, but we are working on offering workshops in Brandenburg as the demand is there. If the workshops go very well and the demand is there, there is nothing to stop online workshops in the future.

Can I be informed about new prints, pre-sales and sales?

You are welcome to follow me on Instagram to keep up to date. If you don't have Instagram, don't worry, you can subscribe to my newsletter. Here you also have the option of pre-orders with the Newsletter before these prints are promoted on Instagram.

Do you have a shop where people can view and purchase your work locally?

Currently, my work is not a permanent fixture in a shop. But you can find me at various creative markets in Germany. There are announcements about this on the Newsletter and on Instagram. A few times a year I also exhibit some of my work.

If you live in Brandenburg and have special interest in one of my prints, you can contact me if you want to have a look at the print beforehand.

Taking care of the prints

How can I care for my newly acquired linoprints?

It is best to protect your print in a frame. It is important that you store your prints at room temperature, avoiding high humidity and direct sunlight.

Do you accept commissioned works?

If time permits, I am happy to accept commissioned work. Please contact me and tell me what you have in mind. I will get back to you with further details.
